Happy Saturday and welcome back to my blog!
Yesterday was my significant other’s birthday and to celebrate, I surprised him with tickets to the Arizona State Fair! It’s been awhile since we got out of our study caves and had a little date night so the fair was a perfect choice. After a long week of exams this outing was much-needed and deserved! We both love going on rides and exploring around so nonetheless, we had a great time at the fair yesterday. In addition, we also had a deep-fried banana split (yum!) and a turkey leg for that extra protein. (I was the one who decided on the banana split, of course). Although the Arizona State Fair is a fun place, I wanted to share how you can budget the fair and save $$$ since it can become expensive really quickly! So without further ado, let’s get started…Quick outfit details:
Black turtleneck long-sleeve – Target, https://goo.gl/eYcAjp
Light Denim Skirt – Target, not exact but similar, https://goo.gl/ox1Rwc
Brown Heeled Sandals – Amazon, https://goo.gl/j7oCfn
Belt – Ross
Tickets for General Admission:
Wednesdays: If you bring in 5 canned goods (5 cans per person) before 6pm for the Sanderson Ford’s Operation Santa Claus, you’ll get free admission!
Thursdays: From noon to 1pm, you’ll be able to get free admission and purchase a wristband for Unlimited Ride Wristband Day from noon to 8pm for only $30.00. Typically, the Unlimited Ride Wristbands are $50.00 so this is a steal!
Friday’s: When you spend $50 or more at any Fry’s location, you’ll be able to get a voucher for 2 adult admission tickets from noon to 6pm. So the next time you’re out buying groceries, try purchasing your goods at Fry’s to get free tickets and save money!
Saturday’s: Admission tickets are only $5.00 before 2pm.
Ride & Game Tickets:
The Unlimited Ride Wristbands are only available for purchase on Thursday’s and Sunday’s from noon to 8pm for $50.00. However, if you go on a Wednesday or Friday you’ll be able to get $2.00 ride and game tickets until 6pm!
As this is the best part about the fair, it is sometimes the most expensive so I recommend going on a Friday to get their $2.00 deal on food! Here’s the selected food items that you can choose from: Anyone up for Deep Fried Oreos or Funnel Cake?! You can get all of your basic fair food needs on this Friday deal. Here’s the link for more information and where to find the selected food items: https://goo.gl/QeYzSJ.
All in all, the Arizona State Fair has a lot to offer whether you’re interested in arts, concerts, rides, games, animals or food! Be sure to visit before October 29th! I hope y’all enjoyed my little post and comment below if you’re interested in a date night outfit look-book of some sort. 🙂
See you next time,
